More than one friend of mine has begun on their Christian walk by doing the Just for Starters Bible studies with an older Christian. As a follow-up to evangelism and as the first step in one-to-one meetings, it has, with good reason, become a standard Bible study, by covering topics like salvation, prayer and church, biblically and clearly. Now, Matthias Media have released Preparing Just for Starters, a product with a clear name and goal.

Preparing Just for Starters helps those who are keen to begin leading the Just for Starters studies. Participants work through the workbook and accompanying audio CDs. The studies and talks by Tony Payne (on the accompanying CD) help you to work through the whys and hows of the studies, practically and theologically.

Helpfully, the format of Preparing Just for Starters allows training on the participant's own schedule: rather than having to take another weeknight or weekend out of busy weeks, the sessions can be done at your leisure. This also makes it ideal training for events like mission follow-up, where the training required for follow-up can be done as time and circumstances require.

Preparing Just for Starters is a highly useful and flexible resource, whether for the experienced Just for Starters user who wants to sharpen their knowledge, or for those new to the Just for Starters studies who want a polished introduction to one-on-one ministry and follow-up.

Preparing Just for Starters is available through the Matthias Media website.
