Marcus Cheong is not accustomed to early mornings, but he will be rising before six for the next three days in the hope he will be able to play a significant part in someone else's ministry.

The fifth Christian Resource Exhibition (CRE), opening today at Sydney's Olympic Park, is an annual fixture for service providers competing for the lucrative ministry market.

Mr Cheong will be displaying the production expertise of his video production company, Total Visual Solutions.

"CRE provides us with one of our best opportunities to demonstrate the sort of work we can do to potential clients, while checking out what other resources are available in the Christian marketplace," he says.

This year's exhibition will be opened by the Rev Tim Costello, the Chief Executive of World Vision Australia, and include performances by award winning Christian guitarist Nathan Tasker as well as the launch of the "The Animated Kids Bible' on DVD.

CRE organisers say the aim is to bring together the Christian public and the huge variety of services and suppliers available to them.

Close to 200 organisations will be show-casing their products and services to the Christian market.

The Australian Christian Resource exhibition runs from Wednesday to Friday this week in The Dome at the Sydney Showground Olympic Park.
